Upcoming Public Forum Meeting -- Thursday, November 16th at 6:00 p.m.
Posted on Nov 15th, 2017

Save Our Trees!

Important Update and Reminder

- Important City sponsored Public Forum on the upcoming CSO Sewer / Street Repaving project near our area.

- Thursday, November 16th at Bryant Middle School at 6 PM.

As you all know, the CSO Project will not directly affect the Dearborn Hills neighborhood until 2019. Thanks to You, the City has backed off on their plan to remove all trees in our neighborhood located within 3 feet of the curb.  Their position is that not removing all the trees will require extra engineering on their part, which will take more time.  (Please remember there was no such plan in any of the neighborhoods already completed)

The Mayor had sent out a communication to all residents of Dearborn Hills promising to protect our trees. The City Engineering Department also sent out a communication, but that was less promising.

It is important that people interested in preserving the character of our neighborhood and our entire area attend this meeting; express their concerns, ask any questions they may have and stay informed and Vigilant.

We must keep an eye on this on-going project to insure that the City and the Mayor live up to the promises they made to us!

Hope to see you there.
